Saint Pierre Le Jeune, Strasbourg

saintpierrelejeunestrasbourg.jpg

The Church of Saint Pierre Le Jeune has a fascinating history — originally a Catholic church, it was converted to a Lutheran church in the 16th century, but from the 17th to 19th centuries it was divided in two and shared by the Catholic and Lutheran congregations. Although it is Protestant once again, the architectural division has been retained, and medieval frescos are visible in the Lutheran section.
