Eucalypts, Kangaroo Island
Only 15% of Kangaroo Island's roads are paved; the rest are hard-packed reddish dirt roads like this one, lined with Kangaroo Island narrow-leaf mallee trees and other eucalypts. (Interestingly, the roadside growth is often the branches of a single tree whose tap-root extends horizontally.)
