The Columbus Monument. Its base celebrates people who were instrumental in Columbus's voyages -- here, the plaque commemorates King Ferdinand and the statue depicts Luis de Santangel, who convinced King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella to finance Columbus's expeditions.
