While driving to our day's dive sites, we spotted a number of birds in the Saliña di Vlijt, so we made a point of heading back there in the late afternoon. We saw 18 species, including a new-to-us one, the gull-billed tern. (A few months after our visit, restoration work began to preserve the saliña for migratory birds.)
