The main focus of our trip with Hellenic Private Tours was a visit to several of the six remaining monasteries of Meteora. Perched atop sandstone pinnacles with views of the Pindus Mountains, they're even more amazing when you realize they were built in the 14th and 15th centuries! From left to right, you can see Agios Nikolaos Anapafasas, Roussanou and the Great Meteoron. (We visited the latter two, as well as Agios Stefanos.)
