Another highlight in the Dusit area is the Marble Temple. It was built by King Chulalongkorn (also known as Rama V), who was the first Thai king to visit Europe and was quite taken with its art and architecture, so although the exterior is largely Thai, it uses Italian marble and the interior features stained glass windows with Buddhist imagery!
