Another cool but slightly offbeat option was the Curacao Maritime Museum. As you can see, Jer enjoyed the ship models, but the maps and other artefacts -- not to mention their short film -- gave a thorough (and unexpectedly tragicomical) overview of the island and the sea, from prehistoric settlement, through colonization and the slave trade, to modern times.
