We only had an hour to explore the fabulous Sartorio Museum, which is housed in an upper middle class townhouse. In addition to domestic artefacts, the museum has beautiful Tiepolo drawings, magnificent gilded altarpieces and a room devoted to local sculptors. If we ever find ourselves in Trieste again, we will definitely go back for a proper visit.
