Drottningholm Palace, outside Stockholm, seen from its formal gardens. This is the actual home of the Swedish royal family -- it seems far airier and brighter than the Royal Palce in Stockholm, so we can see why they prefer it. The boat trip on Lake Malaren to the palace is very pleasant, too -- we brought a picnic lunch.
