Banteay Srei, Siem Reap

Although we were feeling a bit sick of temples by the end of our second day of touring, we were glad not to have missed Banteay Srei, which was perhaps the most beautiful temple we visited. Even though it is one of the oldest Angkor temples, Banteay Srei was built from rare and durable pink sandstone that leant itself to deeper, more ornate bas-relief carvings.
