Kilauea Iki Crater, Hawaii Volcanoes N.P., Big Island
In 1959, the Kilauea Iki erupted and the crater filled with molten lava. The surface hardened in mid-bubble, and now hikers can cross it (you can see a few walking between the two nearer bubbles), but we're told it's still warm to the touch!
