We were lucky enough to be in the Azores during the Festival of the Holy Spirit, where we happened upon the parade in the town of Silveira. It was cool to see people carrying baskets of breads, fruits and flowers, plus girls dressed as Queen Santa Isabel and people carrying crosses, swords and crowns, all processing through town to the imperio, accompanied by the town orchestra.
