Mosaic in Madaba, Jordan
The town of Madaba is known for its mosaics, in part because of this ancient map of the Holy Land inlaid in the floor of the Church of St. George. In this portion of the map, the Dead Sea is visible at the top, with the walled city of Jerusalem below it. To the right of Jerusalem, Bethlehem is indicated (in Greek).
