The weather didn't cooperate well enough to let us go up on the terraces and see the statues and gargoyles up close, but we still took the obligatory touristy photo of the Milan Cathedral. With its cool, multicolor Candoglia marble and more than 4,000 carved statues, gargoyles and figures, it's probably the most whimsical church exterior we've ever seen.
