After the crowds of central Milan, the Monumental Cemetary is an oasis of calm, with lots of lovely architecture and (mostly) poignant statuary, though there were a few graves featuring oxen and others where the dearly departed were half-risen from their graves, zombie-like. Well, to each his own!
