Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood

The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg was our favorite church, as the inside is decorated almost entirely in stunning mosaics. It was built in the 19th century in the Muscovite style, in honor of Tsar Alexander II, who was assassinated by a bomb on the site in 1881 (hence the name, though it is officially the Church of the Resurrection).
