The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Cagnes-sur-Mer's old town was something of a surprise. A plain wooden door by a belltower near the castle led us into the choir loft of this lovely church, which is built into the hillside. From there, we were able to descend into the nave. In addition to impressive paintings and a cool baptismal font built into one wall, it had a collection of antique figurines, most in local dress, for nativity scenes.
